I was in Cary NC shopping today, with my infant girl. My car overheated and I was close to Colony Tire so I pulled in and asked if I could wait inside with my daughter, until the radiator cooled enough to open it.

Lynn Jackson not only said yes, but he went and got my vehicle and added coolant to it for me, then pulled the car around and turned on the air condition to cool the car for my daughter. When I asked how much I owed him, he said there was no charge.

I have been doing business with the downtown Rocky Mount Colony Tire location for many years. I have always received great service.

I purchased tires from Colony Tire with the Road Hazard Warranty never thinking I would really need it. I was driving along Raleigh Road when I veered off the road to hit a drainage grate; both of my tires on the right front and back were cut instantly. Colony Tire replaced my tires under the warranty.

Thank you for your courteous and professional employees at this location. I will certainly recommend Colony Tire to all my friends and family. And getting the warranty on Road Hazard really does pay off; you never know what can happen.

This email is in regard to the outstanding service I experienced when I visited your store on June 12 to have a car,  I thought about purchasing, checked by a mechanic.  Beginning with the initial phone call, to the time I drove it out of the parking lot, I was very pleased with the outstanding service I received. 

Mike Mack checked the vehicle and spoke with me concerning several issues.  Mike was very professional  when he spoke with me both before and after.  He was thorough and well worth the time and money I spent.  Mike even went as far as recommending a car salesperson who, he felt, would provide me with a better quality vehicle.

I would like to thank Mr. Lynn Jackson and Mr. Oliver Evans for the help my family received on the way to a family reunion in Williamston NC.

My mother, brother, and I were on our way from Montgomery, AL to Williamston, NC for a family reunion, when a tire split on the interstate and we slowly made our way off the exit to find a closed Colony Tire Store. Mr. Jackson and Mr. Evans were pulling out of the parking lot and both turned around when they saw us park in the lot. Not only did they make the time to check out the tire, remove the split tire, and put on a used tire they had, but did not even charge us for the tire.

We got on our way and went to the Colony Tire in Williamston, NC to buy two new tires. I want to thank both of those gentlemen for helping us out.

I went to Colony Tire on 5-12 with a boat tire for my husband. They carried it in, were especially helpful and pleasant and had the tire put on and re-loaded in my car within 20 minutes. They were efficient and organized. They gave me peanuts!

My husband and I discussed my experience and will buy our next set of tires from them! his co worker stated that he had the same wonderful experience! I wish I knew the 2 guys names. one was grey haired with mustache and the other was working the front desk. Anyways, folks complain so much I thought I would send in a compliment, a well deserved compliment at that!

Dear Colony Tire Corporate Office,

I have been doing business with the downtown Rocky Mount Colony Tire location for many years. I have always received great service. The care and concern for your customers seems most important to your employees. I am what you might call a road warrior. I am in sales, covering 31 counties, logging over 1200 miles per week. Al Hickman mentioned to me that I may benefit from using nitrogen in my tires rather than compressed air. I told him that I doubted there could be any difference, that tire pressure is tire pressure. Al did a great job of explaining the difference of nitrogen over air. I opted to have the nitrogen installed in my tires. I drive a 2005 model Ford Crown Victoria with a V-8 engine.

I averaged on the road 19 miles per gallon. After a couple of months of running nitrogen in the tires, I have averaged 21.5 mpg. That is a 2.5mpg improvement, resulting in an estimated weekly fuel savings of approximately 7 gallons of gas. 7 gallons of gas X $2.79 = $19.53 saved per week. Al made a believer out of me. Others may not drive as many miles as I do, but the percentage of savings would be constant. I highly recommend to all using nitrogen in their tires.

My wife and I have lived in New Bern, NC for the past 12 years. On many occasions, since 1998, we have bought tires and had our 2 cars serviced at Colony Tire.  It's always been a pleasure doing business with Jason Wilson.

A couple of weeks ago, I took our 2000 Lincoln LS (60K miles and like new in condition) to a local car dealer for some service work.  One of the service coordinators informed me that there was only about 3000 miles left on the front break pads, the rotors needed to be turned and the brake fluid changed.  I put off making an appointment at that time.

For this work on our Lincoln, I made an appointment with Jason and also discussed the situation with Dan Cook, Colony's Service Manager.  At 1pm today the car was on the rack with Gary Wakeman responsible for the work.  

To make a long story short, Gary told Dan that he didn't feel that the work was even needed.  Dan told me what Gary had discovered and after the three of us inspected the car, I couldn't have agreed with him more.  

Jimmy, I very much appreciate what Gary Wakeman and Dan Cook did today. This experience was a real eye opener for me.  I will not forget the honest and professional manner in which this situation was handled by Gary and Dan.  You are indeed fortunate to have them, and Jason Wilson, on your team.

I'm writing to express my thanks to you for the excellent treatment I received from the folks at Colony Tire in Wilson, NC.  

On 4/15/2010, I was traveling down I-95 on my way to visit friends in SC and FL.  I was driving my Mercedes SL-500 that has the "Sport Package", and accordingly, somewhat unique tires.  I experienced a complete failure of the left rear tire and found myself on the side of the road, wondering what I was going to do and when, if ever, I might reach my friend's house in SC. 

I called The Tire Rack and began to inquire about the availability of tires, and they told me that they had an authorized installer in Wilson, just south of my position.

When I called the Colony Tire store, the manager was immediately helpful.  He checked his warehouse inventory and immediately quoted me a price on two new tires that was more competitive than Tire Rack's price, and told me he would get them delivered from the warehouse immediately, just in case I needed them.  
 
When the tow vehicle dropped me at the store, Ricky Taylor was at the counter and was helpful and very reassuring.  The young men in the shop were polite and competent and worked on my vehicle with speed and precision.

Mr. Barkley came out to introduce himself and shake my hand.  I was impressed with the cleanliness and order in the shop area, and again, with the extremely courteous demeanor of all of the Colony personnel.
 
Before I knew it, I was ready to head south again.  The kind folks at Colony Tire had made my catastrophe into nothing more than a minor delay.  I was so impressed with them, and with the bag of salted peanuts that they gave me, that I called several of my friends and related my wonderful experience.  It was as fine a treatment as anyone could have hoped to receive.

Thank you, Tony, Ricky and all the folks of Colony Tire of Wilson, NC, for helping make a stranger in a strange place, with a problem he didn't know how he was going to solve, get back on his way with a minimum of anxiety.  Your kindness and professionalism were great, and I felt like I made some new friends.  You can be sure that I will recommend Colony Tire to my friends in the southeast and that I will visit you again when I am in the area.  
 
Oh...and Parker's Barbeque (where you directed me) was just as good as the first time I dined there 20-odd years ago.

While vacationing at Lake Gaston we had 2 trailer tires fail. I contacted George at your Roanoke Rapids location on Friday and although the tires I needed were not in stock George was able to pull a rabbit out of the hat and had us up and running by noon the next day.

The rear door handle came off my 2004 van. I took the van to the dealer and they wanted to replace the assembly for $500.

A friend told me to take it to Colony tire. They fixed the door handle, they also plugged a hole in a wheel chair seat cushion and worked on making the sliding door on the side of the van close properly.

THEY CHARGED ME NOTHING FOR ALL OF THE WORK. I am paralyzed and in a wheel chair. I depend on the van to take me to doctors, etc. Colony Tire has gone out of their way to help me, and I AM GREATLY APPRECIATIVE OF THEIR EXCELLENT WORK.

We were driving from Raleigh to UNC Hospital on Tuesday in the rain when we heard a tire blow. Fortunately we were near exit 287 where Colony Tire was. I have done business there often and was hoping for some help.

Our appointment at UNC was at 3 pm and it was 2;15 when we got to Colony. Lynn greeted us as we explained our situation. We needed special performance tires and you had one. We were off in a flash as Lynn directed the repair. I must say it was the fastest ever that I have been helped EVER.

My son was able to make his appointment on time as he has been thru treatment of lukemia for about 2 years. I cannot thank you enough for the best service I have received EVER. Thanks and may GOD bless!!

I wanted to take a few  moments to let you know my appreciation for one of your employees - Trevor Garner - Store 28 at Colony Tire Corporation - located at 7931 Fayetteville Road, Raleigh, NC 27603.

On October 23, 2009, I experienced major car problems.  It just so happened this occurred within walking distance of the above mentioned Colony Tire Store.  Trevor is the Sales Manager there.  He assured me if he had to he would push the car to the store - to save me on towing charges.  Even though it was closing time, Trevor stayed and got my car to their store.  It turned out to be a major problem. Trevor assured me my car would be repaired the  next day (I also was provided a way home) -- sure enouigh, the  next morning, I received a call telling me the car had been repaired and ready for pick up.  As you can guess, I was provided a way there.

I since have experienced more car problems.  I did  not hesitate - I took my car to Store 28 and asked for Trevor.  Again, I received the same courteous service as previously experienced.  I tell everyone I know about Trevor and Store 28 at Colony Tire.  I will continue using this store for all my repairs.

Please express to Trevor my appreciation for all he did to make my expereince more bearable.

Dear Holly,

A few weeks ago I stopped at your store for a tire quote mostly due to the proudly displayed sign that you have posted at the highway, "We'll beat anybody's price period". Upon entering, you asked to assist me and I asked for the OEM Michelin tires on my 2007 Honda Accord which are fairly expensive. Your first quote was high but when I advised you that I received two other quotes, and what the lowest one was, you calmly printed out a re-quote matching my lowest quote without the hassle of a mail-in rebate. What impressed me more was the fact that you asked for my business. I do not believe that I have ever had anyone pose that to me before, for any purchase. We agreed on the deal, my tires were at the store waiting for me when I came in, and all of your staff was pleasant and helpful. Holly, you have gained a customer. I am very pleased at how you manage this business and therefore will continue to return.

My experience witht he Colony store in Wilson on Airport Blvd owing a '99 Ford F-150 5.4 L Engine. Any fellow Ford owner is familiar with the ordeal of changing spark plugs in this vehicle. I carried my F-150 in to have just plugs changed and found out then the difficulty in doing so. Finding out it was a time consuming affair, the sales asst. mgr. Star carried me home to wait for the service to be done and then retrieved me later during the day.

The service technician "Billy" then informed me it would take longer or I could bring back to have service completed due to the great difficulty in removing/replacing the right rear plug way up underneath the firewall. I was greatly surprised and overwhelmed by his honesty. As once inthe past a service technician simply replaced seven (7) plugs and did not tell me and I assumed the job done and paid for the "Complete" Service. I feel it is a great and rare occurance to come across an honest man these modern times. For that reason I would not have any problem whatsoever to return or recommend to friends the Colony store on Airport Blvd in Wilson. A true outstanding/excellent staff who represent the Colony name very well.

I would like to sincerely thank Allen Merritt and the service technicians that repaired my vehicle while traveling thru morehead NC.

I had heard a noise while driving and decided to have them rotate the tires and check the front wheel bearings. As i had suspected the left front bearing was about to fail. They told me they could have it fixed promptly. Now mind you that this is almost closing time and they stayed to fix my vehicle.

I was really impressed by thier service, pricing, But most of all their HONESTY. Price of the repair was within very reasonable limits. Thank You

I was very impressed with the service and support we received when the car we were in would not start. We  on the way to Asheville from the outer banks, had stopped to gas up when the car failed to start. When we walked over to your business for help the men came and pushed our car into the bays. It was a Saturday afternoon,/holiday weekend, and we were quite frustrated to learn that no replacement parts were available until the next Tuesday. No rental cars could be found and we were stranded in Cary.

The three gentlemen mentioned above were all helpful and compassionate. They demonstrated excellent human relations skills, a rarity these days. Dale Carnegie would have been proud of them. Thanks to these men our experience was much less of a disaster than it could have been. Everyone went out of their way to make us as comfortable as possible while we waited. We were continuously updated and all questions were answered accurately and honestly.

You can be sure that I will recommend your business to others. Please let me know if there is something I can do in return. This was not a random act of kindness, but rather a purposeful one. I will be sure to pass it on and remember the care and thoughtfulness that was demonstrated here. I believe that you are most fortunate to have Scott, Ricky and Lynn in your organization. I had previously done business with merchant's tire but they tried to burn me on some warranty work.They would not give me a very good deal on some new tires even though I had all my paper work for rotating my tires with them every 3000 miles.I called colony tire in garner and talked to Holly,she beat mercant's price and that's where I bought my tires. Since then I purched tires for my truck from Holly and I will be buying some tires for my car before long.My neighbor was looking for tires and after checking around Holly had beat everybodys price just like the sign says out front THEY WILL BEAT ANYBODY'S PRICE!!

He alleviated my problem plus.  In my opinion he went above and beyond.  LJ (Lynn) is the personafication of customer service.
